My name is Jen Taylor and I originally studied ceramics at Glasgow School of Art before becoming an art teacher. Around ten years ago I discovered some unused fibre when clearing out a classroom cupboard and that was where my love of felting began. It is a rabbit hole I have disappeared down and can’t imagine re-emerging from.
Since then, I have read, studied and explored a variety of ways of using the range of fibres available and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others. I teach felting part-time and love working with like-minded people. I am always happy to help and share ideas and knowledge.
I continue to exhibit and sell my own work which is generally based on the local landscape. I am happy to work to commission, so if there is something you would like give me a ring.
In setting up my business I want to provide access to quality materials and information to help others discover the joy of felting and spinning. I see myself as a source of shared knowledge and experience which will enable my customers to develop their own work and knowledge of fibres.
